Gold cup day.. what a week so far!

What a week so far! We have had amazing drama with Constitution Hill and State-Man both falling, giving us the best Champion Hurdle in memory!

Wednesday saw the horse racing word come together for the memory of Michael O’Sullivan, what must have been a bittersweet day as the two horses Michael had rode at cheltenham two years before (Marine Nationale , Jazzy Matty). Sometimes horseracing can spring up these moments. It brings us all down to reality and shows how dangerous this sport can be for our jockeys and whatever the result, home safe is the most important thing.

Today is another day of cracking racing! Seven fantastic races to choose from at Cheltenham - however if you want to watch a ‘Superstar’ run - Ashington runs 3.40pm at Doncaster. A club favourite back on track - young jockey Paddy Barlow taking off a valuable seven pounds should hopefully see Ashington go close. Racing manager Craig has already discussed tactics with owners as we look to get the club back into form -

Following on from yesterdays tips - It wasnt exactly what we where accustomed to this week. First race was won by 16/1 shot Air of Entitlement - non of our panel had picked out with our closest being Craig with Jubilee Alpha in sixth. Nobody picked up points this round.

Second race seen Nicholls runner Caldwell potter lead from the front and stay there throughout and was never really in doubt- Chosen by our own Greg, this win might prove vital as he tries to close the gap on Craig.

Pertempts Final - up steps Brian Hughes for the North- winning on Doddiethegreat at 25/1 it was hardly no suprise our panel did not have this one picked out- This race actually worked out amazing for some URSA owners as Doddiethegreat recently came just in front of our own Chasingouttheblues.. looking into the form looks very handsomly for Chasingouttheblues .

Ryanair chase saw a range of selections from our panel, However it was Katie who predicted the winner this time. Ever so keen on its chances - Katie must have knew she had won this one with a long time coming as Fact to File won an impressive 9L to its nearest competitor .

Bob olinger rolled back the years in the Paddy power stayers hurdle. As one URSA member said ‘she channelled her inner Davy Russel for that’ - With most of our panel having Teehupoo it was not a good result for our leaderboard but was fantastic watching Bob back to his old best!

Last race seen Another Mcmanus horse win - at 3/1 it was a suprise non of our panel had this selection, approaching last it was not fluent but asserted its dominance in the last 110 yards to win by nearly 3 length. Todays selections and leaderbaord follow-

Keep an eye out tomorrow for some exciting news!
