Wow! What a day one!
As all punters had their bets on and pints in. Cheltenham started off with a bang yesterday!- from first race to last it was a great spectacle and a great example of why we love this sport!
As for our tipping, it looked like racing manager Craig was going to get back to his usual top form at Cheltenham with kopek des bordes winning the first - An oversight from the URSA panel for the Ultima seen nobody pick the winner myretown who beat our very own Glory and honour at Wetherby on Boxing Day. That race is definitely starting to look better!
Craig and Jonny both picked Lossiemouth who won very impressively, however owners must be kicking their selves with not trying the champion hurdle with what was to follow..
Not many could have predicted the outcome of the race and you could not write how the race unfolded. Debates will go on for a long time as who was to blame and if both stood on their feet. Would Constitution hill have beaten state man? We will never know.
Craig and Jonny were both in sync picking sections for the Fred Winter - Putyourhandstogether, at a nice price of 17/2 it pulled us all back for the day. Craig was back with a winner and all was back to normal!
