Curious Rover tops the bill on day dedicated to Event of Sivola

A massive day in Ursa Major history ended up with celebrations and pride as Curious Rover ran a sensational race on Derby Day and we remembered Event of Sivola at Hexham.

Rover, trained brilliantly by Katie Scott, sprang from the gates and into the lead in the 3yo Dash at Epsom - two races before the Classic, finishing fifth under a fine ride from young William Pyle.

It was a return back to form for Rover after needing his first two runs of the season and a big year awaits him.

We then moved on to Hexham, where Ashington won best turned out and then finished fifth in the Hexham Legend Event of Sivola Memorial Handicap Chase.

Our dear boy Event claimed two of his six wins for us at Hexham, so it was a fitting occasion to run a race in his memory - and even better to see Christine, who loved Event so much, win Best Turned Out for her care of Ashington - an award also handed to Abbie who looked after Rover at Epsom!

An emotional day was then capped with Huit Reflets running a fine race in second at the Northumberland venue.

We may not have had a winner, but days like this mean the world and shows why Ursa is the best syndicate around.

Thank you to everyone for your support and kind words.
