WINNER: Moonlight Glory makes it two winners in two days

Our hot spell continued as Moonlight Glory became our second winner in as many days, scoring over hurdles at Hexham.

Given a super ride by Tom Midgley, the eight year old won her second race of 2023, while also forming part of an across-the-cards treble for trainer Mark Walford.

It brings Moonlight’s recent form figures to 1722-1 and it would be no surprise to see her putting in some good performances as long as some juice remains in the ground.

It was Ursa’s fifth win at Hexham - a record - and a third in the Battenbergs for Tom Midgley.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “She won that very well and I was delighted with her. In fairness she did it so well you could call her the winner some way out.

“She has been a terrific buy for us - winning twice and placing several other times. Mark Walford is a fantastic trainer - what he is capable of doing with horses is becoming more and more widely seen and it is well deserved.

“He is a man going places and we are delighted to be a big part of his team.”
