WINNER! Carrarea bags hurdle win for patient owners

Carrarea gained his first win in Battenberg colours running out to score by more than three lengths at Market Rasen.

It was just desserts for his loyal owners who were hit with a hold up before his intended first run for us before Christmas.

He suffered a back problem and only made it back to the track last month.

But their patience, coupled with brilliant training from Mark Walford, saw him gain the win he deserved.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “We needed that! Mark has done an absolutely brilliant job training Carrarea, using his new treadmill to help his back and it has paid off in style today.

“His owners truly deserve this and I was so glad to be on hand to celebrate with them.

“This is a good horse. His back form is very good and we will have some real fun times with him now going forward.”
