The flat is back - and so is Ghadbbaan!
Ursa Horse of the Year 2022 Ghadbbaan returns this weekend as the flat turf season opens.
The Mark Walford trained seven-year-old will attempt to take back to back runnings of the Amateur Riders’ race at Doncaster on Sunday.
But that’s not the only flat fun next weekend - Bay Dream Believer is entered to run in the apprentice handicap at Doncaster on Saturday.
It will also be a first for Ursa - as Jack Jones saddles Chamber Choir at Kempton on Saturday - marking a Battenberg debut for both trainer and horse.
Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “It is shaping up to be a thrilling start to the flat season with three entries on a brilliant weekend of racing.
“We kick off with Chamber Choir running at Kempton for Jack Jones who is proving to be a fantastic fit for the club.
“We then have Bay Dream Believer back on Saturday at Doncaster on the first day of the flat turf season.
“Then Ghadbbaan aims to gain a second win in the amateur riders’ event on Sunday - he was brilliant in it last year and Mark is very happy with him this year.
“It would be great to see all three running well and I cannot wait to unleash of summer squad.”
