New look to Team Ursa as injection of quality bodes for an exciting winter
One look at our horses in training page shows just what a busy time it has been in the transfer market for Ursa Major Racing.
Racing Manager Craig Talbot has been working around the clock for the last month securing deals to ensure the quality of our squad is the best it has ever been ahead of the 2022/23 National Hunt season.
But not only that - two yearlings and a 2yo colt for the £1 million Arc winter bonus scheme - make this the strongest line up of horses we have ever had.
Our jumps team has been strengthened with the signings of Ingleby MacKenzie (Ewan Whillans), Carrarea (Mark Walford) and Ashington (Mark Walford).
Meanwhile Texas Boy (Rebecca Menzies) will be aimed at the fantastic all weather bonus scheme at Arc courses between October and April.
A Magna Grecia filly (Grant Tuer) and a Kessaar colt (Rebecca Menzies) form our yearling team for next year’s two-year-old races.
We have also added Jubilee Dancer to the ranks, with the hope of her going into training to make a three-year old next summer.
It has been a superb period and we cannot wait to get started.
