Big week looms as Ghadbban in at York on Super Saturday

It’s a massive week ahead for Ursa Major Racing, capped off with Ghadbbaan running at York on Saturday.

The star stayer, fresh from his Newmarket second last time, bids to go one better with Andrea Atzeni riding for the first time. We are thrilled to have him on board.

It’s a typically competitive Saturday race over 2m but he has a good chance in a race he came second in off the same mark last year.

There’s plenty to come before then too - Fortuitous Star runs in the 2.20 at Catterick tomorrow for Grant Tuer and Sam James.

We are happy enough with an opening mark of 55 and with the experience she will come on for running in nurseries. She can take a step forward here.

That’s followed by Far From A Ruby who runs a the same track in the 5.20 for Katie Scott and Jason Hart.

Ruby has been running really well of late and deserves to get her head in front after a second, third and fourth. Back down in trip, today could be the day if the cards fall right.

Ralphy Boy Two then has his second run for us in the 8.00 at Hamilton on Saturday for Ewan Whillans. He will come on a bundle for last time and cold be worth a look each way on the day.
