Winner: Fantastic Fenna's Loss wins well on hurdles debut

Fenna’s Loss made a dream start to life over hurdles with a facile victory at Uttoxeter.

After scoring by more than five lengths on his Ursa debut in a bumper at Hexham, Sean Quinlan was back on board the Mark Walford-trained five-year-old as he put his rivals to bed by four and a quarter lengths.

It means he is now unbeaten in two starts since joining the Battenberg ranks and it looks very promising that he can go on and be a real flag bearer for many seasons to come - fingers crossed!

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “I have loved Fenna’s since I first saw him and was delighted to pick him up from Ireland.

“The form of his two bumpers over there really is quite something so we hoped he would be a really good addition to the team.

“He has now had two runs for us and has really impressed everyone. To win a bumper so well is one thing, but to then replicate it over hurdles less than a month later shows what a great trainer Mark is.

“We are very excited for the future and will now make a plan for his next race.”
