Ruby and Angel could make it a week to remember

Two of our fantastic fillies are set to hit the track - which is sure to put a smile on owners faces.

Far From A Ruby, fresh from a third and a second, will run tomorrow afternoon at Musselburgh over 1m1f.

And then Battle Angel, a two time winner last Autumn, returns after a long break on the flat at Haydock on Thursday.

Ruby has a fair chance of going close given the excellent form she is in, while Battle Angel will come on for the run - but given she has won over both codes for us, she isn’t one to write off!

Katie Scott, trainer of Far From A Ruby said: “She is fine and we are very happy with her. It has been plain sailing. We had two options for her this week and this looks a good one.

“The main question for her is the extra half furlong, but I think she will be okay, it is also the right track for her.

“Hopefully she turns up in the same form again as her last two runs and she won’t be far from troubling the judge again.”

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, added: “It is fantastic to have two such well loved fillies out back to back.

“Ruby has really come to the form we hoped she would and was so unlucky last time. Hopefully things will fall right for her and she can run a nice race.

“Battle Angel is a very special horse for Ursa with wins on the flat and over hurdles and I want to thank Mark Walford and the England’s for the excellent work they have put in getting her fit and ready for this.

“Lets hope for a great week.”
