Fortuitous Star becomes our first two year old runner of 2022

An exciting new era begins on Thursday as the first of our juvenile class of 2022 makes the track.

Fortuitous Star, trained by Grant Tuer and ridden by Oli Stammers, will contest the 1.20 at Ripon.

She is first out from a team that also includes Aclaim To Fame (Rebecca Menzies), Champagne Sarah (Mike Murphy) and Wreck It Ryley (Tuer).

It will be very much a case of first day at school for Star, but we think a lot her - and feel we have our best ever crop of two year olds.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “I really like Star and it is great to have her out first - she has been working really well, but we want her to have a good experience first time out so we are just concentrating on her coming back home sound and happy - anything else would be a bonus.

“We have invested in a better quality of juveniles as I am dedicated to getting Ursa Major on a higher level all the time and I think it will really pay off.

“It looks an exciting flat season ahead.”
