Ghadbbaan fine after Pontefract performance
There was an upbeat bulletin from trainer Mark Walford after Ghadbbaan came a disappointing sixth at Pontefract.
The six-year-old chestnut went off 15/8 favourite after an easy win at Doncaster last time, but was never travelling with any zest.
The ground is one possible reason, but Mark suggests he may have just been turned out again too quick.
He said: “He’s fine this morning and I won’t be using the ground as an excuse. I think maybe I ran him again too soon and he will have a slightly longer break between that and his next race.
“But he is turned out and fine this morning which is the main thing.”
