Fine second for Kath's Toyboy

Kath’s Toyboy put his best foot forward with a fantastic second at Lingfield.

The four-year-old grey could have even been closer but for some interference and was given a fine ride by Rossa Ryan.

The Mike Murphy trained gelding ran to the line and should be good enough to pick up a race sooner than later.

He is entered at Windsor next Monday over 6f, a track that should play to his strengths.

Jockey Rossa said: “He could possibly do with some blinkers on, he was just a little hesitant up the straight but he jumped and travelled all the way, he just didn’t like the hill very much.

“A stiff track would be ideal, somewhere like Bath maybe.”
