Event bounces back with fine second

Event of Sivola bounced back to form in fine style at Catterick, putting him firmly in the frame for the Go North finals.

Event, ridden by Jamie Hamilton, finished second in the Class 4 3m1f handicap chase on Tuesday, 13 lengths clear of third.

After a couple of below par runs by his usual standards, we were delighted to see him back to his best and he will now be aimed at the Go North Staying Chase Final, which he finished runner-up in last year.

Far From A Ruby also took a major step forward at Newcastle on Tuesday, leading until 2f out and looking to spring a surprise at 100/1 before weakening and finishing ninth.

She is an exciting prospect for this summer.
