Two stars take in racecourse gallop ahead of competitive action

Two Ursa horses got a taste of the track during a racecourse gallop at Southwell.

The Mark Walford trained duo Battle Angel and Diamante Sur Canape made their way to the Nottinghamshire venue for a workout earlier today.

Mark felt the trip would be beneficial to both horses mentally and physically ahead of their runs next month.

Diamante Sur Canape and Battle Angel enjoyed their work out

Battle Angel, who has won on the flat and over hurdles for us is aiming for a Northern Lights series qualifier at Kelso on March 5th.

Diamante Sur Canape will be making his career debut in a bumper at some point in March.

Ursa owner Lee Randall was on hand to take these brilliant pics and said he enjoyed the experience with some of Mark’s team including jockey Jamie Hamilton who returns to action himself this weekend after a serious injury.

Thanks to Lee for sharing the experience with us.

Battle Angel is excited to be getting off the lorry
