Furax back after a year on the sidelines

We are delighted that Furax will be back on course this week after almost a year on the sidelines.

The seven-year-old grey has been working towards his return with Micky Hammond and the team and after 347 days off, he will be back at Newcastle on Tuesday.

He goes in the 2m 7f 149y Handicap Hurdle at 3.25 and will no doubt need the run after such a long time off.

We are so grateful to our owners after such a long time away from the track but we are confident he is young enough and talented enough to make great strides in the Battenberg silks.

He has some really strong back form from France and could develop into a really decent horse for us.

Tuesday will be a busy day as we also have Dis Donc running in the Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase in the race before.

With just five runners and a valuable pot on offer it looks another shrewd bit of placing by Micky and the team.
