Our former heroes: Cape Hideaway loving life in post-racing career

One thing that unites all of us is the desire to ensure all our former racers go on to have wonderful homes after life on the track.

Cape Hideaway is a special horse in Ursa history, the ten-year-old is the one that started it all for us, winning on his Ursa debut at Doncaster in March 2018 - our first runner.

He’s a horse we will never forget - he also managed to finish second in a hurdle at Aintree for us, before having spells with both Tim Vaughan and Mick Appleby.

Time was called on his racing career in March 2020 after four wins and 46 runs.

Cape Hideaway is loving life post-racing and is now known as Harry. He’s much loved in his new home and is up to all sorts including dressage and showing.

We are so grateful Harry’s owner continues to share these beautiful updates with us. Welfare is always number one in Ursa.
