Sam England

Sam England is a dual-purpose racehorse trainer based in Guiseley, near Leeds, West Yorkshire. She began her career as a jockey, riding 35 winners at tracks including Wetherby, Hexham, Catterick, and Sedgefield, where she achieved a notable 23% strike rate.   

Transitioning to training, Sam took over her father’s string at Manor Farm, sending out a winner with her first runner. Since 2016, she has achieved over 110 winners over jumps and a further dozen on the flat.  Sam operates alongside her husband, jockey Jonathan England.
