Mark Walford is a prominent dual-purpose racehorse trainer based in Sheriff Hutton, near York, England. He assumed the training license from his father, Tim Walford, in February 2014 and has since expanded the yard in both size and quality.   

Under his guidance, Mark has achieved success across various racing disciplines, including National Hunt, two-year-olds, and older flat horses. His reputation as a leading young northern trainer has been bolstered by multiple winners and a growing list of horses in training.  

Mark’s commitment to open communication and first-class care for his horses has fostered strong relationships with owners and syndicates, such as Ursa Major Racing. This partnership has been fruitful, with numerous winners and an ever-expanding roster of horses under his tutelage.
