We have welcomed a brand new star to Team Battenberg - 136 rated hurdler We’llhavewan.

Picked up from Willie Mullins, the nine year old gelding was sent off at just 13/2 for this year’s Irish National, where he finished sixth - and he has joined our team with Rebecca Menzies.

Also rated 123 over fences, We’llwan will run in all the top staying chases next season - and could even have a crack at something like the Pertemps FInal at next year’s Cheltenham Festival.

All shares were snapped up in the bay within a few hours of purchase - and he will give owners a great National Hunt season to come.

Addressing the pirchase, Patrick Mullins was quoted by the Racing Post as saying: “I think We’llhavewan might be the best value buy. He’s the sort of horse that could easily be competitive in some of those valuable staying chases and maybe get to Cheltenham as a Pertemps horse.”
