Fantastic day as Ryley and Ruby both place

Our 16 owners at Southwell had a great day - with Wreck It Ryley coming second, Far From A Ruby finishing fourth - and bagging best turned out to boot!

They day started on a high with Ryley beaten only a neck over 5f under a cracking ride from Oli Stammers.

Had he been drawn higher the chances are he probably would have gone even closer.

Then Far From A Ruby bounced back to form in fine style, coming fourth at 40/1, beaten only two lengths. That will tee her up perfectly for a return to the turf at her beloved Ayr in a few weeks.

It as a terrific achievement for trainer Katie Scott, who also saddled the winner Elladora, while Ruby was judged to be best turned out - and you can see why in the picture below!
