Double the Easter fun on Egg-cellent Southwell card
It’s looking to be an Easter to remember for Ursa Major, with two runners tomorrow following Champagne Sarah’s terrific fourth on Good Friday.
Wreck It Ryley (Grant Tuer/Oli Stammers) and Far From A Ruby (Katie Scott/Billy Garritty) both run at the Nottinghamshire venue on Easter Sunday.
It follows a truly eye-catching run from Champagne Sarah (Mike Murphy & Michael Keady/Dan Muscutt) at Lingfield on Good Friday, where she came fourth in a £23k-to-the-winner sprint.
Both Ryley and Ruby hold decent chances on Sunday - albeit it’s probably Ryley’s toughest race to date and Ruby will come on for it - and we have 16 owners heading to the track to cheer them on.
Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “It’s been a bumper weekend for Ursa Major once again and I am very excited to see Ryley and Ruby out tomorrow at Southwell.
“Ryley has done his owners very proud this winter with a win over this course and distance and several good runs - including three places at Wolverhampton.
“Ruby is a legend and we are looking forward to another fun year with her - if she can match what she did last summer we will be very very happy.
“Champagne Sarah ran a fantastic race on Good Friday and I cannot wait to see her out on a straight course. She is rising through the ranks and we haven’t seen the best of her yet.”
