Champagne Sarah returns at Lingfield

It’s an exciting weekend ahead with Champagne Sarah returning to action at Lingfield.

The three year old filly was the toast of Ursa Major last November when her victory at Newcastle was part of our first ever double - thanks to trainers Mike Murphy and Michael Keady.

The 75 rated chestnut is entered in the 5f Class 5 handicap and Marco Ghiani is booked to take the ride.

At the five day stage she faces eight opponents, with final declarations on Thursday morning.

Speaking of Thursday, Mr Hailstone is entered at Sedgfield for Dr Richard Newland and Charlie Hammond.

Only four go to post and a clear round and a step forward looks likely.
