Huge week with runners aplenty!

It’s a massive week ahead for Ursa Major with a potential eight runners by Saturday evening.

They include a newcomer, a debutant and some Ursa favourites as we bid to get 2023 off to a flying start.

The action begins tomorrow evening at Wolverhampton, where Bay Dream Believer goes in the 8.30pm.

The half sister to Ursa legend Battle Angel has pleased Mark Walford since joining and she will come on plenty for this in a hot contest.

Two runners have been confirmed for Doncaster on Tuesday, with Jamie Hamilton taking the hurdles rides on both Diamant Sur Canape and Buford.

On Thursday, Unbridled Power (Rebecca Menzies) and Justathimble (Katie Scott) run at Newcastle; before attention turns to Sedgefield and Newcastle on Friday for Ingleby Mackenzie (Ewan Whillans) and Moonlight Glory (Mark Walford) and having his first ever run - Wreck It Ryley (Grant Tuer).

A big week comes to a close with Ashington at Wetherby on Saturday!

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “It is a massive week for us and I will be racing every day we have a runner this week.

“Hopefully we can start 2023 with a massive bang and lay down a marker for the rest of the year, but of course first and foremost I want all horses to come back safe and sound and our owners to have a great time.

“We have a seriously exciting squad of horses for the coming year and I would encourage anybody who fancies joining us for the ride to get in touch soon as our shares are selling out fast.

“I hope everyone has a fantastic week.”
