Welcome Grecian Warrior and Major Kessaar!

One of the best things about owning a share in one of our young horses is getting the chance to name them!

And that’s exactly what the owners of Grecian Warrior (Magna Grecia x Camomile Lawn) and Major Kessaar (Kessaar x Dutch Desire) have done this week.

The colt Major Kessaar is in training with Rebecca Menzies and is expected to be an early two-year-old, with the Brocklesby a genuine aim.

Filly Grecian Warrior, with Grant Tuer, is also really pleasing connections and she will hopefully be good to go in late Spring.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “This is another area where I like to think Ursa Major excels as a racing club.

“Every owner gives us a name suggestion if they have one and then fellow owners have an anonymous vote and the winner gets to name their own horse.

“It may feel like a little touch to some, but it means the world to many - how cool is it to say you have named your own horse?

“We have a small amount of shares left in both 2yos - 7.5 per cent remains in Major Kessaar and 5 per cent in Grecian Warrior.
