Ruby rounds off a good week

It’s been another busy but pleasing week for all at Ursa Major Racing.

Kath’s Toyboy ran another fabulous race in second at Brighton, just bumping into one on the day and Ben Curtis gave owners some fabulous feedback.

He’s entered in two races this Thursday at Chelmsford - one of those an amateur riders’ event and we will see where we are in terms of which race we will pick tomorrow.

Diamant Sur Canape had his first run over hurdles on Saturday night at Hexham and fared very well for most of the way, laying up with the leaders before fading away at the business end.

He is a horse we think the world of and we won’t be deterred by his two starts so far - it is all about getting experience into him - he is a chaser in the making - anything before that is a bonus.

Far From A Ruby then ran well at Hamilton on Sunday. She has only been back in training for four weeks so needed this - but she showed some fantastic natural pace to keep with the leaders before just tiring two out and coming home seventh.

She will win a race this year - she is a real favourite with members!
