WINNER! Event of Sivola holds off all comers to record 4L win

Event of Sivola put a recent run of frustrating efforts behind him in some style as he ran out an easy winner of a 4m chase at Hexham.

Donning a first-time visor he made all and never saw another rival as he galloped them into submission, kicking clear again before the home turn and winning by almost four lengths.

It was a huge return to form for the French bred 8 year old and Jamie Hamilton has to take credit for an excellent ride.

But huge kudos must also go to Mark Walford for a stunning training performance, with the horse being a bit of a monkey on his last two starts.

Racing Manager Craig Talbot said: “Everything came together for Event - the ground, the visor, a great ride and a superb trainer.

“He likes things his own way - if he doesn’t he can spit his dummy out, but we really love him and that is his third win for us - putting him only behind Kodimoor (four) in our list of winners.”
