Four runners make it one of the most exciting Ursa days ever

Four runners in one day takes some doing when you have 20 horses in training - to have them all running at one meeting for three different trainers makes things even more exciting.

But on Tuesday at Newcastle we are in that position, where Rebecca Menzies, Katie Scott and the team of Mike Murphy and Michael Keady saddle our squad.

We could have around 30 owners on track to cheer on our latest signings Cabinet Maker (Rebecca Menzies/Paul Mulrennan) and Justathimble (Katie Scott/Sam James), with Champagne Sarah (Murphy and Keady/Kevin Stott) and Kath’s Toyboy (Murphy and Keady/Kevin Stott) adding to the joy.

Racing Manager Craig Talbot said: “What a truly momentous evening this will be for Ursa Major Racing having four runners at Newcastle in one evening.

“They are all in good form and ready to run but there’s no grand plan to have them all here at once - it is just a beautiful coincidence.

“I cannot wait to see so many Ursa Major owners on course enjoying themselves - and imagine the celebrations if we were lucky enough to have a winner?”
