Big week ahead with two Ursa debuts

It’s a huge week ahead for Ursa Major, with two horses making their Battenberg debuts, a two year old back on track and last time out winner Ghadbbaan set for his seasonal swansong.

It all kicks off on Wednesday, with Ingleby Mackenzie making his British debut at Sedgefield for Ewan Whillans and Craig Nichol.

We were delighted to purchase this lovely chaser from Henry DeBromhead and while this is a tough enough starting point, we expect to learn plenty from this assignment ahead of a fun and successful winter.

On Thursday, Champagne Sarah looks to take another step forward after a very encouraging run last time. She takes in another warm race at Chelmsford, but if she comes on as much for her last run as she did her debut, she will soon be a very nice filly.

All eyes then turn to Saturday, with Carrarea having his first start for Ursa at Hexham, where he holds entries over 2m and 2m4f.

Both races look very tough on paper and trainer Mark Walford and Racing Manager Craig Talbot will be tracking entries on Thursday morning - but we expect him to be very competitive whichever race we decidet to run him in.

Finally, glorious Ghadbbaan, one of our most consistent performers of the year, signs off for the year at York.. He was stunning when winning at Ripon last time, showing a whole new level of form battling back to regain the lead in the final furlong.

He aims to get a first deserved success at York, where he has finished in the first three four times!

Good luck to all owners - it is going to be a week to remember"!
