Kodimoor - or Kodisnore as he became today - made trainer Mark Walford chuckle during his rounds earlier when seconds after larking around the fields with best mate Oasis Prince, he found him tucked up in his stable taking a nap.

Well after six career wins in 77 starts (four wins in 38 for Ursa) and at the age of nine, we think he deserves a daily siesta.

The lovable front-runner had another great year in 2021, winning at Beverley and placing at Ayr, Beverley, and Chelmsford.

He’s on a short break now, but will be back soon, doing it the only way he knows how - his way.
