Kalganov-

Kalganov is a bay gelding foaled on February 27, 2019, sired by Gutaifan out of the mare Nidina. Bred in France by Giovanni Falduto, he initially competed in France, achieving a Group 3 placement and securing multiple victories. In late 2023, Kalganov joined the stable of British trainer Michael Dods, racing under the ownership of Ursa Major Racing Ltd and Michael Dods.

Since his transition to the UK, Kalganov has continued to demonstrate his racing prowess. Notably, he clinched a win in a 7-furlong handicap at Newcastle, finishing strongly at odds of 9/1.

As of early 2025, Kalganov remains an active competitor in Dods yard, contributing to the trainers aspirations for continued success in the upcoming flat racing season.
