Pleasing run from Dis Donc who now has handicaps in his sights

Dic Donc made his second start in the Battenberg silks at Newcastle today - and while he came last of four, there are many reasons to be cheerful.

The nine-year-old, trained by Micky Hammond, has now bagged £2,500 in prize money for us, despite only costing £4,500 and has given his owners days out on two Saturday’s at Grade One tracks.

He jumped well throughout and giving some fabulous feedback to connections, jockey Alain Cawley says he should be able to bag a win or two back in handicap company.

Alain also felt a step up to 2m4f wouldn’t do him any harm, so Dis Donc looks to have a very bright future for us.
