Sunday Series win 'May' be our best day as mare Blossoms

May Blossom became the latest star to hit the heights in Battenberg as she scooped a Sunday Series win at Pontefract. .

The five-year-old, trained by Julie Camacho, was much the best in the £11k-to-the-winner 6f sprint under Oisin McSweeney.

She had never won over 6f before, but Julie - and husband Steve - were adamant she would now show her best over this trip and they were proven correct on a big day.

The SkyBet sponsored Sunday Series has been kind to us previously, with Candescence winning at Hamilton two years ago, while Ghadbbaan also recorded a couple of top four finishes.

May Blossom’s success will live long in the memory for owners - and there’s every chance she will be able to win another race over 6f before the season is out.
