Three new recruits join Ursa from busy week at sales

Never have the ups and downs of racing been so stark as the past few days - but we now have reason to celebrate with three new recruits!

Hearts were broken on Monday when we lost Thaki after he hurt himself in the stalls up at Ayr.

But we have now welcomed three new horses to the ranks in the shape of Straya, Darlo Pride and Piper’s Fort.

Straya is a lovely filly who came fourth in a Curragh Group 3 just last year and looks a value option whatever happens. She joins Katie Scott.

Darlo Pride is a four time winning sprinter who has joined Michael Dods for a crack at the AW bonus.

Piper’s Fort is a winning sprinter who will be more than up to winning in the North this year - he is also joining Katie and her team in the Borders.
