50 up as Curious Rover lands big Haydock win!
Curious Rover wrote his name into the Ursa Major history books forever by landing our 50th success in a Class 2 at Haydock.
Scooting home with no other rival landing a blow in this £11k-to-the-winner contest, the two-year-old son of The Irish Rover gave his owners reason to dream big - and big races will now be on the cards.
Trainer Katie Scott has produced him in magnificent form once again - he has won twice and come second in just three runs in our colours.
And William Pyle carried out the plan to perfection - coming home more than three lengths to the good of his nearest rival.
The Racing Post analysis stated: “He won emphatically on his handicap debut - he’ll take some stopping should connections find him another opening on soft ground before he’s reassessed.”
It marked Ursa Major’s 50th winner since launching five years ago - and comes just two weeks before owners gather at York to celebrate this achievement.
Racing Manager Craig Talbot said: “I want to thank each and every one of my owners from the bottom of my heart, I could not do it without you.
“We work with the best trainers, stable staff and jockeys around and tonight gives us a reason to celebrate.
“Curious Rover is what this game is all about and what I set out to achieve five years ago - he looks a proper horse and we will enjoy this one!”
