But enough of the Groundhog Day gags - we could not be happier to add the winning chaser and hurdler to the team, joining Mark Walford in Yorkshire.

The six year old gelding has won a bumper, a hurdle and a chase, as well as scoring on the all weather at Wolverhampton.

The 116 rated bay has plenty of other bits of useful form - with a fourth in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham over 3m last season particularly eye-catching - and he could return there this November.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “Phil has been one of my favourite northern based jumps horses for some time so I am absolutely over the moon to add him to our 12 strong team at Mark Walford’s.

“He has settled right in already and we can’t wait to get going with him - amazingly we sold 100 per cent in just five hours!”
