Knocking on the door with two places at Hexham

It was a case of so near yet so far at Hexham today with Moonlight Glory and Event of Sivola both coming placed.

Both Mark Walford-trained horses ran terrific races and weren’t far away from winning their races.

Event of Sivola finished with a rattle to come third in the three mile chase under Jamie Hamiton.

Moonlight Glory then hit the front before coming second over hurdles for Tom Midgley over 2m4f.

It was so close to being a perfect day - but neither horse can be crabbed and they both ran crackers.
