Dozens of owners enjoy Christmas stable tours

It was a busy weekend for scores of our owners as Ursa trainers Mark Walford and Katie Scott threw open their doors for pre-Christmas stable visits.

It was the perfect time for us to visit our horses towards the end of a year which has yielded 23 winners and say thank you to them, Katie and Mark and their teams for the incredible work that goes on at home.

Between them they are responsible for 11 victories in 2023, including doubles for Carrarea and Moonlight Glory (Mark) and Curious Rover and Thaki (Katie).

Owners came from far and wide and enjoyed magnificent hospitality from two of the sports most admirable figures.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “The weekend was the perfect opportunity to say thank you to all those who keep the show on the road 365 days a year and make sure our horses are at their best.

“It has been a year beyond our wildest dreams and Mark and Katie have been a big part of that alongside all our other brilliant trainers.

“We have nine horse with Mark and six with Katie, so it was great to see so many owners come out and support the visits.

“We have big plans for next year already and Mark and Katie will continue to be a massive part of that.”
