Fantastic week with two great performances
Two places from three runs has given us another successful start to the week on course.
While a win has eluded our three runners this week, we can be mightily proud of the way Candescence pulled away with a very well-in winner at Wolverhampton on Monday to come second.
Then Dis Donc shouldered top weight on ground he wouldn’t necessarily thrive on to finish a superb third at Wetherby at odds of 28/1.
Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “It has been a great start to the week with Candescence probably the most unlucky filly in training to keep coming up against a handicap blot - but she has been in the first three on nine of her 11 runs now.
“Plans are fluid with her, she may go to Chester, but she does need time between her races so we will see in a few days.
“She has come out of the race fine and a big target could be the Ayr Silver Cup in September.”
On Dis Donc he added: “He has run an absolute belter there and we could not be prouder. Jamie Hamilton has again given him a great ride.
“He has been a brilliant buy for Ursa Major - that takes him past the £10,000 prize money mark - more than double his purchase price. Honesty, what a great buy, I am so pleased for his owners.”
