On this day at around 7:20pm at Beverley Racecourse an Ursa Major Racing Club legend began….

Kodimoor won his first race in the battenburg silks under a perfect ride from the front by Dougie Costello. He won it by the finest of margins… a nose! Not only was the 20/1 SP win in itself something that will live long in many of the memories of our members; but it was to be the beginning of a unforgettable run of three straight wins that firmly sealed Kodimoor’s name as an Ursa Major club legend forever more.
